Umr-e-daraaz

Jo beetey chaar din, do aarzoo do intezaar ke,

Aya waqt deedaar ka, teri aankhon ki chamak dekhi;

Keh dia khuda se tu rakhle yeh baki zindagi ke lamhe,

Mujhe ab seedhe jannat mili hai, jo maine pyaar ki jhalak dekhi...

यूँ ही..

इन ओस की बूँदों से तुम्हारे लिए जो मोती न चुराए, तो कहना,
दो पल के लिए ही सही, जो तुमने बुलाया और हम न आये, तो कहना,
मर के भी याद रखेगा यह जहाँ हमें, ऐ जाँ,
अब तक किए जो सारे, वो वादे न निभाए तो कहना...

ये लोग!

राहें सीधी करने के वास्ते, रास्तों को मोड़ देते हैं,
महल खड़े करें तो ना जाने कितने घर तोड़ देते हैं,
बड़े ख़ुदग़र्ज़ हैं दुनिया में ये लोग, ऐ दोस्त!!
इन दिनों तो अपनी परछाई को भी अकेला छोड़ देते हैं|

इंसानियत को नीचा दिखाने के लिए, हैवानियत से रिश्ता जोड़ लेते हैं,
दो झूठ छुपाने की ललक में, हज़ारों सच्चाइयों की गर्दन मरोड़ देते हैं,
ज़िंदगी के अनछुए सवालों के ज़वाब पाने की चाह में ये लोग,
अब कब्रिस्तान में दफ़्न मुर्दों को भी झंझोड़ देते हैं|

The Last Wish...!!!

Buried in the groaning was what we wanted to say,
not knowing if it really was his last day,
whether for another moment will he live,
To him another moment, will the God give?

Lying on the death bed was he today,
still trying to mumble what he wanted to say,
the time so less but the stronger was the will,
he prayed from Him to make the hours still,

He tried again so hard to speak,
but the voice that came was low and weak,
closed his eyes and he gathered his strength,
to speak those words before his life was spent,

Surrounded by all, with their tearful eyes,
he was turning pale, with deeper sighs,
"Please call her" he murmured at last,
with a handful of time the reaction was fast,

Called was she in another instance,
dressed in yellow, she stood at a distance,
a bouquet in her hand, written Get Well Soon,
she gave it to him, it worked as a boon,

Over his lips a faint smile came,
the sorrow in her eyes, was not anymore the same,
"Please can you do a little thing for me??
Its my last wish, can you fulfill??", asked he,

Her trembling voice said, "You please order me,
I'll do everything to do it with glee"
he said, "that i loved you but unable to say,
now i affirm as it may be my last day,
with all my heart and all my power,

I loved you every moment, every hour,
I laughed for you, i cried for you,
I lived for you, I will die for you,
Now its a last wish, a wish so bland,
for a single time i wish to kiss your hand,

Tears came off from every eye present,
she gave him her hand, the very next moment,
he took her hand, with a happy fear,
fell on her hand, his one salty tear,

he pressed his lips gently on the palm,
the tear was wiped and the body became calm,
the breath on her hand, stopped after the kiss,
there he waited contented, to fulfill his Last Wish...!!!!

Ehsaas!!

Wrote few years back...

1.
Toh kya hua, jo door hai tu,
Yeh hawa toh hai,
jo tujhko chookar, teri khushboo lekar,
aati hai mere paas,
yeh ehsaas dilane ko,
ki koi hai, jo bekaraar hai,
tuhse milne ko, tujhme gum ho jane ko,
bas isi hawa ki nami me,
apne aansu milakar piye jaa rahe hain,
bas kisi tarah jiye jaa rahe hain!!!!

2.
Toh kya hua, jo saamne nahi tu,
meri palkein, meri aankhein toh hain,
jo mil jaati hain har pal,
taki tu nazar aa jaye,
do boondon ki dor tujhko,
rok leti hain in aankhon me,
kaash hamesha ke liye tu inme,
samaa jaye, mere paas aajaye,
bas isi umeed ki dor se baandh apna mann,
khwaabon ke aasmaa me liye jaa rahe hain,
bas kisi tarah jiye jaa rahe hain!!!!

3.
Toh kya hua jo teri boli,
nahi sun paate har lamha,
mera dil,
meri dhadkan toh hai,
jo dhadakti hai tere ishaaron pe,
bolti teri zubaan, gaati tere geet hai,
bas isi ki baatein sunte, isi se baatein kiye jaa rahe hain,
bas kisi tarah jiye jaa rahe hain!!!!

4.
Toh kya hua jo nahi sun paate,
tere komal pairon ki aahat in dino,
ek aarzoo toh hai,
ki aaogi tum kisi din,
mere dil ke aangan me paayal chankaati,
ki dekhogi aankhon me, tum kisi din,
apni gehri nazron se meri,
ki rakh kar soyogi kisi din,
kaandhein pe mere, sir apna,
ki dil se dil milenge, kisi din,
haathon me haath honge,
ki har waqt badhega pyaar kisi din,
kabhi kam na hoga,
ki har khushi hogi kisi din,
hamare kadmo me, kabhi gam na hoga,
ki bas tum hogi kisi din,
aur main, koi teesra na hoga,
aur tum ho jaogi, kisi din,
meri, bas meri aur sirf meri...
us din ka hi intezaar kiye ja rahe hain,
bas isi tarah jiye jaa rhe hain..!!!!!

Kuch shabd!!!

Shaayad aaj barsaat hogi,
jab tu mere saath hogi.


In boondon ki dor ki tarah,
judi rahengi hamari saansein,
chahein jitna door rahein,
har roz khwabon me mulaqaat hogi, 



Shaayad aaj barsaat hogi,
jab tu mere saath hogi.


Chhupa payenge in aansuon ko,
jo bahenge be-jhijhak,
jab tere mere bichadne ki baat hogi,



Shaayad aaj barsaat hogi,
jab tu mere saath hogi.

Another One...

I wrote this poem last year in September. It is one of my favorites, hence posting it...!!! 

Aaj dhadkan ne hai pucha-
"dhadakte hue ek zamana ho gaya,
kab dega darshan pyaar tumhara,
kyon itna mushqil unka aana ho gya? "

hamne kaha- "kuch pal na sahi,
do pal ke liye to tujhe thaam lenge,
anayaas hi ruk jaegi teri gati,
lab hamare jab unka naam lenge!!!"


Aaj palkon ne hai pucha-
"jhuke hue ek zamana ho gaya,
uthne ko hain betaab swagat me jiske,
kyon mushqil us pari ka deedaar pana ho gaya?"

hamne kaha-"hoga deedar, jaan lo
uthkar zyada nahi ruk paogi,
husn pe hokar fida us dilnashin ke,
saamne sajde me khud jhuk jaogi!!!"


Aaj kaagaz ne hai pucha-
"likhe hue ek zamana ho gaya,
kya hua teri kalam ko,
dil-o-dard se kya tu begana ho gaya?"

hamne kaha-"dard hai aur hai kalam par dil nahi,
le gaya usko chura mera khuda hai,
nagm likhte they kabhi jo tere dil pe,
aaj wo nagma mere dil par guda hai!!!"


Aaj shama ne hai pucha-
"yaad me uski jalte hue ek zamana ho gaya,
kehta tha aashiq khud ko jo mera,
na jaane kahan wo parvana kho gaya?"

hamne kaha-" aey shama! tu fikr na kar,
yaad me aashiq ki jalne me maza hai,
milti hai fir jo khushi milne pe , uske
saamne kya zindagi aur kya kaza hai!!!"


Aaj kalion ne hai pucha-
"khile hue ek zamana ho gaya,
kho gayi jaane kahan meri sugandh,
bin jiske mushqil dil lagana ho gaya?"

hamne kaha- " jis khushboo ko dhundti ho tum,
wo toh bas meri saanson me basi hai,
saamne hain wo hamare aur uski,
aankhon me hai ek chamak, lab pe hasi hai!!!"
